Corey Latanision, a senior majoring in Bioengineering, poses for a photo. Latanision, who is the president of Penn State's chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society, not only performs valuable medical research (like the artificial limb project at the upper right) as part of his studies at Penn State, he also actively supports the American Red Cross's efforts through organizing blood drives. Last semester, the Penn State BME Society's blood drive during the Penn State-Michigan State blood drive competition pulled in the most units of blood of any Penn State club. Latanision's efforts to help people and develop new medical treatments truly make him a real-life superhero. Photo Dan Antonaccio
